Teachers in the Golden Wind Zen Order
Zen Master Ji Bong (Robert Moore) has practiced Zen since 1969. He began studying with Zen Master Seung Sahn in 1974 and received transmission as a Zen Master in 1997. He is a retired professor of music at the University of Southern California.
Zen Master Ji Bong founded the Golden Wind Zen Order in 2004. Currently he teaches Zen in Long Beach, California. He has three children and lives with his wife in Long Beach, CA.

About Teacher Designations
In the Golden Wind Zen Order, teachers may be designated across the Order as:
Zen Master: a teacher who has received full transmission in the Zen lineage, with their teacher's authorization for independent teaching.
JDPSN (Ji Do Poep Sa Nim): a teacher who has received Inka and their teacher's authorization for teaching including koan/kong-an instruction in the Korean root lineage.
In individual Zen Centers, there may be:
Guiding Teacher: a senior teacher who oversees teaching, practice, and training at a center
Abbot: a senior teacher or practitioner who oversees the administrative affairs of a center
Dharma Teachers: senior practitioners who lead practice, give dharma talks, and perform other teaching roles
